Ans: Depends on multiple things, your risk profile, time horizon, time to retirement, goal etc. there is not enough data for me to help but I can surely say, you mutual funds. Add to your existing mutual fund investments. Use the same schemes you have invested in & dont add more schemes. Split the investment into 4 parts & deploy over the next 6 months on every fall you have.

Presently I have SIPs of Rs 50K for NIFTY index funds besides regular PF deduction from the employer. Present monthly expenses are around 1 lakh per month. Would I be able to retire early at 54 keeping in view a life expectancy of 85 yrs.

You need 4.5cr to retire at 54 with the help of which you will be able to receive the 17L + Inflation

- You should invest this in Debt funds & withdraw not more than 0.5% a month. If the fund earns more than 6% (0.5% * 12), you can continue to receive it till infinity as you are withdrawing less vs the gains in the fund

I plan to invest 35 k per month more for 7 to 8 years , when i want to leave job and do something else. Can you tell me what will be my corpus in 7 to 8 years down the line taking both current valution plus what i am going to continue investing?Also, i have another 1 corore total in other investment like Voluntary provident fund, Epf, ppf and esops from my company and pension fund . Hello Kirtan, Greetings. Request a serious suggestion on my investment planning. Have majority of my savings into FDs due to my earlier conservative approach and even now am having the tax benefit as the FDs are on my wife's name where we do get the tax benefit. Also started significant portion into MFs which is a portfolio by itself of nearly 50 lac INR. My question is, I want to plan for my younger son's future and our retirement which almost have the same time duration of about 12-13 years. How can I go for my investment if am looking for around 5-7 crore of corpus by then ? What options could you provide me assuming I do have good risk apettite now as I have seen a good 5 year cycle in the MFs now. I want you suggest 2 options, 1 - With a fresh investment now and the products which I should go around and 2 - If you advise to use the fixed deposits also to contribute to the wealth creation ( I have a total of around 60-70 lac as FDs). So please suggest a good portfolio with the above 2 scenarios.

Ans: Have 6-12 months of your monthly expenses as contingency in FD's, everything else can be deployed towards your goal.

Assuming you have 1cr today to allocate to the goals & need 6 cr in 12 years, you will have to do an SIP of 70K over & above the 1cr that you will allocate towards the goals.

MF's are the best way for you. Invest in 4-5 well diversified MF's & start an SIP in the same MF's

I want to know a way to multiply my life savings ( Rs 70 lakh) lying in an nri account FD around at 7 per cent interest. After looking a bit i was thinking to invest them as below. 1. Parag Parikh flexi cap (25%) 2 UTI nifty 50 index (15%) 3.quant small cap fund direct growth (25%) 4.Tata digital India fund direct growth(20%) 5.Hdfc large and midcap fund growth (15%) I have no pending loans in India. I have no knowledge of stocks and equity. There is no active management or additional funds to deposited. Its a all a one time. The time period will be 15-20 years.

Ans: - Just replace HDFC Large & Midcap with Kotak Emerging Equity.
- Put the funds in liquid & do weekly STP over the next 6 months

- LIC PMVVY

What you do with the remaining investment will completely depend on your risk profile & requirements. You can choose to do FD's, Corporate Bonds or SWP from Debt Mutual Funds
